6 Slow Cooker Appetizers That Are Perfect For Tailgating

By now, you may be able to tell that I am #crockpotobsessed, so much so that I’ve configured multiple lists of crockpot recipes. Don’t worry, I’ve got crock pot breakfast, dinner, and dessert totally covered for you. But yesterday, I was saddened when I realized I hadn’t yet compiled some of my favorite finger food recipes.

It’s fall, people. Fall means football and football means tailgating with some of the most delicious food you’ve ever consumed. Don’t let your fellow fans down. Delight them with one of these outstanding slow cooker recipes.

Spinach dip is one of my favorite munchies for any time and any occasion. Heck, I’d be brave enough to eat it for breakfast! The prep time for this recipe is just ten minutes. Throw these ingredients in the crock pot in the morning and you’ll be snacking on deliciousness all afternoon.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sliders

So here I am, sitting at my desk, drooling over these sliders. No lunch will be even half satisfying after seeing these mouthwatering sammies. Nothing beats homemade food—well, except maybe homemade food that doesn’t require hours in the kitchen. I love crock pot buffalo chicken dip, so I can imagine how good it is as a sandwich.

Forty-four meatballs later you’ll be happy you dove into this recipe (but also maybe disappointed you didn’t make a double batch). You’re just a little orange juice and some slow cooker Hawaiian sauce away from delectable meatballs that will blow your neighbors’ balls out of the water.

Lil’ smokies remind me of Christmas—only because Grandma’s favorite thing to do is fill us up on weenies before we consume the main meal. But who’s to say those babies can’t be eaten any other time? In fact, I can’t imagine how good they would be with an ice cold beer. #WeinerLover

Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread

Bread might not the first thing that comes to mind when you think tailgating. But with all that protein, how are we supposed to bulk up for winter if we forego the carbs? These Dominos-like bread bites might be the perfect solution to soak up that beer (in your tummy, of course).

For all you sweet tooths out there, who said apps had to be exclusively man meat? Try out this creative dip recipe for something sweet. And those cracker dippers? Those are just made from refrigerated pie dough. #HolyNum.

Well, now that I’m mouth-watering hungry, I must go home and cook. Can’t wait to try these. I’ll see you folks at the game. (What game? All of them.) #MyFoodIsBetterThanYourFood
